Manage a Web-based HR Talent Mgmt System Implementation

Challenge

A nationally recognized coffee roasting company needed a web-based, automated means for job applicants to view and apply for open positions and automate the workflow of these applicants from initial apply to hire.

Solution

Mincar Consulting managed the selection and implementation of a SaaS vendor for the client, created the project deliverables and lead the team to a succesful installation and roll-out of a Talent Management software service. Job applicants now search for and apply for jobs on-line. The Human Resource Generalists and Hiring Managers process the resumes and applications on the backend with automated tools and workflow.

Results

Having an efficient job applicant process has improved hiring efficiency for the client, improved the application process for the job applicant, improved the image of the company, and improved the efficiency of the internal staff.

Test and Train a world-wide staff for an SAP roll-out

Challenge

A world-wide leader in snow and surf board manufacturing needed to reinstall their entire ERP platform to support their enormous growth and acquisition strategies. The change in business structure could no longer be supported in the current environment and a new SAP system needed to be implemented to better match the product mix and business organization.

Solution

Mincar Consulting managed the testing and training of the project. Working on an extremely agressively schedule, the Business Process Owners from each functional area world-wide, from Inventory to Customer Service to Finance, were lead to identify test scenarios, build test cases and test the new system. Multiple language issues, multiple currency issues, interface testing, performance were all included in the test suite. Training classes were developed and taught in all functional areas. In some cases, Mincar Consulting performed the testing and taught the classes, stepping in wherever, whenever necessary to fill any gaps.

Results

Testing and training was completed on-time and with very high quality. Although a hot line was set up to handle internal customer issues after the go-live date, very few calls came in. A lot of this low volume was attributed to good testing and good training. Many system transactions that used to take minutes now take seconds, and overall business processes are much more efficient since the installation. The business can grow knowing their ERP platform can better support their business mix.

Reduce Year-end Inventory from weeks to days

Challenge

A local medical device manufacturing company needed assistance taming their ERP system, Exact.

Solution

Mincar Consulting lead a team through business process analysis, identified and fixed issues with the master data, and prepared the system for the year-end inventory. All of this was accomplished on top of physical relocations of all departments in the company, including the entire inventory warehouse.

Results

The year-end inventory, which involved over 10,000 parts, went from 2 weeks down to 2 days. This saved a significant amount of down-time for the company and improved the companies confidence in their ERP system and in overall data integrity.
